I am a retiree with a painting degree from the college years, and I have returned to Portrait Painting. I work from photographs when I’m not attending “open studio” portrait sessions with live models around Maryland. I have decided to offer the public portraits by an Internet arrangement.

The portraits in oil paint are done on high quality linen canvas panels in two sizes, 12x16 inches and 11x14 inches. To paint these, I work from jpg photographs submitted by a client. The jpg photographs must meet a certain quality (to be discusses on interest) to be useful in the painting process. The information and photo images can be exchanged by email. When the portait is finished, and satisfies the client, it will be shipped, the shipping added to the portrait price.

In general, the portrait costs $250 dollars plus $50 for packing and shippng by FedEx. They are unframed. Depending on my schedule, the portrait will be completed within a month, usually sooner. A jpg image of the completed portrait will be sent to the client, and if approved, the client pays by PayPal. After the payment, I will ship the portrait.
